Meet Sam, the person behind Barbell Longevity. From a young age, Sam has been passionate about fitness, playing sports, wrestling, and training martial arts like Tang Soo Do, Eagle Claw Kung Fu, and Systema. However, a devastating shoulder injury in college left him with repeated dislocations that forced him to undergo extensive physical therapy and eventual surgery.
Sam used the setbacks to educate himself on various movement and physical rehabilitation modalities. He continued to train in martial arts and weightlifting, always striving to push himself to new limits. Through his own experience and love of science, Sam discovered how weightlifting could benefit longevity in numerous ways.
Today, Sam is a fitness influencer and writer who uses science to enhance his workouts and inspire others to achieve their own fitness goals.
